Here is a routine that works well on FF 2-sets in busy night clubs. It incorporates some advanced set merging techniques and preparation, so it requires some time investment. When you pull it off, however, it is magic. I have performed this routine at least a dozen times, with only a few blow outs. This is a routine you can perform with good success without a wing.
As you know, it can sometimes be difficult to isolate your target if you don't have a wing or pivot to occupy the obstacle. This is a great way to get the job done and turn the obstacle into a pawn and gives you club-wide DHV.
First of all, you have to prepare the club ahead of time by opening a few all male sets early in the evening.
Side Note: Don't underestimate the value of opening all male sets in a club. This is a great way to survey the territory, show DHV and helps to break down any AA you may have.
You are going to have to remember conversations and names with the male sets you open. Basically, you are building rapport with all of the men in the club and memorizing their names and a few pieces of information about them. Male sets are easy to open because there is no defense and you all share something in common (you came to get laid). I'm not going to tell you how to open an male set, because it is a no-brainer. Just try to open a bunch of all male sets early in the evening so that you know the territory.
Now lets say you have opened your FF 2-set and you are ready to isolate your target to build comfort. If you have followed the opening method correctly, you will have build decent rapport with the obstacle. You are going to pull her out of the set and introduce her to "one of your good friends". This works well for the obstacle because she is the beta female of the 2-set and she will be enjoying all of the attention.
The key thing is that you want the target to stay at the first location, so you give her a simple FTC and say "I'm going to introduce Obstacle to a friend of mine, we'll be right back". This is a good neg on the target, and she'll be primed to open up to you and qualify herself when you return. If she somehow follows you, its ok because your obstacle will get occupied anyway. The key thing is that you are introducing the obstacle to the male set and subconsciously negging the target at the same time.
Now, you grab Obstacle's hand and drag her to one of the all male sets and introduce her. You pump them with all the information that you've gained on both sides. While you do this, you drop a few funny negs on the obstacle in front of the male set and now she has to qualify herself to them. You can even throw a neg at one of the males. Its funny to watch it happen because she will be the only female in the newly developed set and she's loving the new attention she's getting.
Once the males in the set start trying to pick her up, you discreetly and quietly exit the set and return to your target. When you get there she may ask "Where's Obstacle?", just give her a FTC and say she'll be back in a minute. Now you have isolated your target, built your DHV in the club and can start running your comfort routines. You can even take her to a better comfort building location to further separate the two.
Caveat #1: The obstacle should be at least HB7 or better (sometimes you can do it with a lower rating, but YMMV). The all male set needs to find her attactive, or they will release her too quickly and she'll return to the first set, and it can ruin your isolation.
Caveat #2: Don't leave your target sitting too long. The whole routine should last a only a few minutes.
Optional Routine: This also works well with a MF 2-set, so long as the male is not a jealous boyfriend. If he returns to the set and sees you gaming his girlfriend, you may find yourself needing dental work soon.
Peace
